About This Project

I tried with this work to respond to stereotypes designed by the media to include myself in them by acting them out through imitation of situations where I place my body in the idealized phantasmal image of the “lucky couple”.

On the other hand, “… photographs of couples in romantic advertising plots, where love is attainable, and the happy ending is the only certainty, underline the ideology of consumerist culture … The seemingly naive, basically regressive, strategy in this work aims to find its own ideology in the media emptiness of romantic myths of a harmonious happy couple, thus becoming self- subversive. “
